I’ve been doing the Thurston County Bicycle Community Challenge (formerly the Bicycle Commuter Challenge) for something like 15 years now. It’s one of those things that makes Olympia feel like home to me. However, one problem I have with it is that the purpose is to get people out riding their bikes more, and since I ride my bike most days anyway, it can feel like I’m just logging my miles. So I try to challenge myself. First it was goals like ride every day or ride 300 miles in a month. I still like them, but they are relatively easy. Last year I hit on the idea of visiting all of the stations during bike to work day. That was fun, and I’ll definitely do it again. This year (2024), I’m trying something new, a bingo card. The idea is simple: print out the card and try to fill in as many spaces as possible. As of this writing it’s just for fun, there are no prizes. But if enough people seem to like it, maybe next year I’ll do something more with it.

Without further ado . . . The <a href=“/assets/Bike-Bingo-2024.pdf“>2024 Bike Bingo</a>!
